Decorating your home in an Old English Décor will instantly add charm and elegance. Colors are abundant, and color hues are very natural, such as pinks and yellows from roses found within an English garden, or the greens from rolling hills on an English countryside. You can choose to keep the colors vibrant, or mute them, and the styles should feature a wide variety of patterns. The predominant pattern of choice in an English décor is floral. Flowers are seen decorating vases, window treatments, furniture, rugs, etc.
Adding lamps, candles, or classic chandeliers is also evident in English home décor. Rather than using recessed lighting, lamps give off a warm and comfortable light.
Simplicity is key in this style of decorating. Don’t overdo and add too much to tables, mantels, or even walls. Just a hint of color goes a long way.

Fall is a very beautiful time of year. With the changing leaves all around, the beauty of the outdoors is possibly most evident in fall than in any other season. Incorporating these colors into your home décor is not only beautiful, but also easy.
Fall floral arrangements can be made very easily and inexpensively. By simply pushing pieces of florist foam into pumpkins or gourds, you can use these as your base, and then add berries, tiny pumpkins, oranges, apples, or anything else that you please. By doing this, you create a beautiful fall arrangement that will look wonderful in any room in your home. Use these arrangements as centerpieces on your dining room table, or small versions on tables in living rooms or bedrooms to give your home an autumn appeal.

Whether you live in a rural area, or in one of the biggest metropolis’, country home décor is fast becoming one of the most popular ways to decorate or redecorate a home. Peaceful, serene, family oriented, are just a few ways to describe the feelings from a home decorated in country colors and schemes.
Colors vary in shades, but two very prominent ones seem to be Country Blue and Country Rose. These two colors are friendly and inviting, and will make guests in your home feel comfortable at once. Furniture in a country decorated home normally maintains its natural wood tones, such as pine or oak. Hard wood floors are a very popular aspect of this decorating technique. Adding a braided or hook rug to a hard wood floor instantly adds warmth and old world style beauty.
Gingham is also a very popular aspect. Gingham curtains, furniture covers, bedroom linens, etc., can be found in many homes decorated in the country look. Simply adding gingham curtains to your kitchen can add a country feel, and instantly make you feel more relaxed and sublime.
