Many people, during the colder months replace their thin curtains for heavier ones to ensure that cold air is kept out. This is a wonderful idea to help with the heating bill, but it also causes your home to seem dark and dreary. Consider the colors that you are adding. Most heavy curtains, especially those used during the holiday season, are darker colors, such as hunter green or a deep red. Choosing to instead use curtains that are colorful, with floral arrangements in the pattern, can add much needed light to the dreary winter months, and make your home seem much less cold and dark.
