Decorating for Fall

Fall is a very beautiful time of year. With the changing leaves all around, the beauty of the outdoors is possibly most evident in fall than in any other season. Incorporating these colors into your home décor is not only beautiful, but also easy.

Fall floral arrangements can be made very easily and inexpensively. By simply pushing pieces of florist foam into pumpkins or gourds, you can use these as your base, and then add berries, tiny pumpkins, oranges, apples, or anything else that you please. By doing this, you create a beautiful fall arrangement that will look wonderful in any room in your home. Use these arrangements as centerpieces on your dining room table, or small versions on tables in living rooms or bedrooms to give your home an autumn appeal.

You can also use silk leaves, which are very inexpensive at craft stores, or even real leaves for decorating. Using double sided tape, you can place leaves on vases or jars, and then fill them with an arrangement of fall flowers. Leaves are also a beautiful way to dress up your dining room table. Simply lay them around the table, and add your centerpiece of choice. You have created a beautiful display in your dining room, and, if you use items that you collect yourself outdoors, you can create this display without spending a dime.

Apples also hold one of fall’s most beautiful colors. Have a basket filled with apples sitting on your kitchen counter to give your kitchen a special autumn touch. You can also add walnuts and oranges to give it even more color. The thing to remember is that adding autumn colors to your current home décor doesn’t really have to cost anything. Get your family involved, too. You can have children collect leaves and acorns to add to your pieces. They will love helping you create these beautiful displays, and you will love the family togetherness that you will feel while creating them.
